The Effect of Online Recruiting on the Matching of Workers and Employers
Online recruiting started at the early 2000s and became since then the main source of workers pool. In this paper I studied with the new online recruiting technology is allowing better matches of workers and firms. In my study I showed that this is not always the case!

On the Causes of Military Conscription
In this paper I studied why some countries choose to recruit their military force by offering incentives to join, while other countries conscript soldiers in a mandatory way. I found that this choice is related to the interaction between the population size and the potential military threat.

Terms of Trade Shocks and Economic Performance, Prebisch and Singer Revisited.
This is a joint paper with Prof. Jefferey Williamson from Harvard University. In this paper we explored whether changes of prices of goods led to slower economic growth in the developing world during 1870-1940, and we found that it was not the case.
